AI-Native Sales Platform WizCommerce Raises $8 Million
WizCommerce, an AI-driven sales and ecommerce platform for wholesale distributors, has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Blume Ventures, Z47 and Alpha Wave.
Founded by Divyaanshu Makkar and Vikas Garg, the startup plans to use the funds to expand to the US and enhance its technology for sales, commerce and payments in wholesale businesses.
The $10 trillion US wholesale market still relies on manual processes, and WizCommerce integrates quoting, storefronts and ERP systems to help distributors manage sales and automate tasks.
Currently, the company has an annualised gross merchandise value (GMV) of $200 million through its platform, Makkar told The Economic Times.
“The plan is to double down on the team and increase the sales and marketing headcount and strengthen our go-to-market strategy,” he said. The company also plans to start launching ‘AI employees’ for wholesalers. “These will be autonomous agents for different pieces of the wholesale value chain,” Makkar added.
WizCommerce primarily offers an AI-driven sales application designed for sales reps in the wholesale sector, assisting them in accessing real-time inventory, tailoring product offerings for clients and creating appropriate proposals.
Moreover, WizCommerce supports wholesalers and manufacturers in establishing their online presence, enabling their customers, such as retailers, to place orders independently.
At present, the company’s solutions are used by 700 sales representatives and over three lakh buyers in sectors like home decor, furniture, lighting, gifts and general merchandise. It collaborates with prominent distributors, including Avandium Trading, Turkana Food and Arteriors Home, among others.
“Distribution is still largely run on legacy systems. WizCommerce is addressing that gap with an AI‑first product built for the industry’s day‑to‑day needs. Their early traction shows they’re well‑placed to lead the shift,” Rishen Kapoor, VP at Peak XV Partners, reportedly said.
