Infosys, Google Cloud Launch 200+ Enterprise AI Agents on Topaz
Infosys has launched over 200 enterprise AI agents as part of its Infosys Topaz AI offerings in partnership with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform.
The agents are designed for enterprise operations by handling complex workflows and enabling multi-agent systems at scale.
These AI agents are built for use across sectors such as healthcare, finance, retail, telecom, manufacturing, and agriculture. They incorporate capabilities including secure communication, autonomous decision-making, multimodal data handling, and data extraction to convert raw information into insights.
“The development of more than 200 enterprise AI agents marks a milestone in our continued efforts to innovate and lead in the enterprise AI space,” said Balakrishna D. R. (Bali), executive VP, global services head, AI and industry verticals, Infosys. “With Infosys Topaz AI offerings and Google Cloud’s advanced AI frameworks, we are enhancing Human+AI collaboration and unlocking new levels of efficiency and precision across industries.”
In real-world scenarios, the AI agents perform tasks such as monitoring real-time network capacity, managing accounts payable and receivable, and predicting demand in manufacturing supply chains.
For instance, a monitoring agent tracks network usage and issues alerts, reducing downtime and optimising resources. A finance agent ensures accurate reporting and cash flow, while a forecasting agent predicts parts demand and adjusts production accordingly.
Victor Morales, VP of GSI and consulting partnerships, Google Cloud, said “Infosys’ enterprise AI agents, built on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, can enable businesses to improve complex workflows and support multi-agent operations at scale.”
This comes just after Infosys launched the Agentic AI Foundry, a new solution under its Infosys Topaz suite. The foundry is aimed at helping businesses build and deploy AI agents quickly and responsibly, with a focus on real-world use and long-term innovation.
In its Q4 FY25 earnings call, CEO Salil Parekh, showed confidence in generative AI. He stated that Infosys believes it holds a leading position in AI agents, having developed over 200 AI agents and currently working on more than 400 AI projects for its clients.
