Boeing Appoints Stacie Sire as VP and MD of India Engineering & Technology Center
Boeing announced the appointment of Stacie Sire on Tuesday as vice president and managing director of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) and chief engineer for Boeing India. She succeeds Ahmed Elsherbini, who served in the role from April 2021 until January 2025.
Now based in Bengaluru, Sire will lead the strategy and operations at BIETC, overseeing the centre’s priorities and further strengthening its capabilities to support Boeing’s growing footprint in India. As chief engineer, she will also be responsible for technical leadership and engineering excellence across Boeing India.
Elsherbini has transitioned to a new global role as senior vice president, general manager, and head of Boeing Global Engineering.
With 27 years of leadership at Boeing, Stacie expressed confidence in the new role. “Boeing’s growth in India as an industry leader and innovator in aerospace and defence is inspiring, and I am committed to working alongside our team here to continue advancing that journey,” she said.
Sire began her career at Boeing as a structural engineer, later becoming a first-level manager in loads and dynamics supporting the 787 programme.
Her leadership roles have included director and chief engineer positions across various programmes, including the 767/777 airframe, 787 airframe, propulsion structures and systems, and production engineering.
Most recently, she served as senior director of engineering for fabrication, leading a global team supporting 20 manufacturing business units.
