Segmind Raises $1 Million to Accelerate Generative AI Model Deployment for Developers
Segmind, a cloud and AI-based MLOps tools provider raises $1 million in funding to help developers integrate generative models into their applications. The investment round is led by All In Capital and Paradigm Shift Capital, along with WEH Ventures, and 100x Entrepreneur Fund.
Founded in 2021 by Rohit Ramesh and Harish Prabhala, Segmind is a serverless optimisation and development platform, built on modern Kubernetes-backed architecture to provide an end-to-end MLOps platform.
The platform speeds up models using our open-source voltaML library, delivering the fastest inference speeds (under a second) at a fraction of the cost while reducing the overall GPU requirements by up to 80%.
The recent launch of highly advanced AI models like Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT has led to a revolutionary shift in the tech industry, enabling capabilities that were previously only imagined. However, a key obstacle remains: the complex implementation of these models as many developers are not equipped with machine learning expertise.
While these models have democratised AI to a significant extent, developers still encounter several challenges in implementing them, such as determining appropriate hosting options, debugging them, and customising for particular applications. To bridge this gap, Rohit and Harish are developing vital tools through Segmind, a strategy we believe is crucial to facilitate AI adoption across a wide range of software globally. As All In Capital, we’re proud to support their endeavour.
This funding marks an exhilarating milestone for Segmind. The injection of new capital positions Segmind to transform the way developers leverage generative AI models in their applications, aiming to make AI integration easier, faster, and more cost-effective. We are profoundly appreciative of our investors’ trust in our mission and eagerly anticipate the thrilling journey that lies ahead.
