NVIDIA CEO Teases AI Breakthroughs Ahead of GTC 2023
In NVIDIA’s latest earnings call, AI seemed like the clear winner. CEO Jensen Huang made his opening remarks with a statement indicating that the current technological breakthroughs have made AI reach an “inflection point”.
In addition, Huang also mentioned what we can expect from the upcoming GTC event. NVIDIA GTC – a conference for AI and the metaverse – will explore breakthroughs in AI, accelerated computing, and beyond. The event will take place between March 20-23 this year.
What can be known as NVIDIA’s next big bet, a new business model was introduced which will support AI for enterprise.
NVIDIA has partnered with major cloud service providers to extend its AI as a service platform to enterprise customers. This platform provides access to AI supercomputers, acceleration library software, and pretrained AI model layers. By leveraging this offering, enterprises can tap into NVIDIA’s advanced AI technology and accelerate their AI workloads with ease.
Last week, the company also announced NVIDIA DGX Cloud, which will allow companies to access the DGX AI supercomputer for their AI models. DGX Cloud is already available through Oracle Cloud infrastructure, and will soon be present in other cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, GCP, and others.
At the AI platform software layer, customers can access NVIDIA AI enterprise for training and deploying large language models or other AI workloads.
NVIDIA will also be offering NeMo and BioNeMo, customizable AI models, at the pretrained generative AI model layer, to enterprise customers who want to build proprietary generative AI models and services for their businesses. With NVIDIA’s new business model, customers have access to the full scale of AI computing across their private to any public cloud.
However, apart from gaining recognition for its role in the success of ChatGPT, the AI computing company has also achieved notable accomplishments in the field of AI. Over the past few years, NVIDIA has made significant progress in various areas, earning them prestigious NeurIPS awards. These advancements include the development of 3D generation models, text-to-image modelling, AI game playing, and the optimisation of diffusion-based generative models.
