MachineHack Launches AI Student Champion Of The Year With AIM; India’s Biggest Student’s Championship For AI

MachineHack, in partnership with Analytics India Magazine, is launching the first edition of AI Student Champion Of The Year, from December 9, 2022, to March 2, 2023, for data scientists and machine learning students across India. 

The three-month-long championship has been designed to find the best data science talent from Indian colleges and universities while ensuring it reaches as many students as possible. This tournament is the perfect opportunity for data science students, researchers in universities and students from all technical fields to showcase their skills and get noticed by leading companies.

Speaking about the launch of the championship, Dr Vaibhav Kumar, who heads the campus programme, said, “We are launching this championship to identify and give recognition to the best of the best talents in AI and Machine Learning at the academic level.”

Championship Format

The format of the championship is unique and interesting. The championship takes place in a tournament format with three contests to be released in a scheduled manner. The contests are:

  1. Data Science Championship: Consisting of 120 Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based tests for 1.5 hours duration on MachineHack testing conceptual Statistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Python knowledge.
  2. Coding Championship: Consisting of a package of 30 coding problems from Python and Machine Learning.
  3. Machine Learning Hackathon: Here, a problem and a corresponding dataset would be given to the participants, who would be required to build machine learning models to solve the given problem. Based on how accurately they obtain the results, they would get a position on the leaderboard. The score of the hackathon will be added to the overall championship score.

Prizes 

Prizes will be given both at the institution and national levels. The winner at the national level will get the title of the ‘Student AI Champion Of The Year’ along with a trophy. Also, the top winners at the institute and the national levels will get free access to MachineHack Premium for a year.
