As there is more and more data influx for various organisations across the Indian market, the urgency for boosting up the data security and privacy has become the prime focus. At least one in three Indian organisations face a data breach, this is an alarming stat for the organisations and for the cybersecurity as a sector as it proves that not enough regulations and experts are at work for the sake of cybersecurity.

The frequent breaches and privacy issues have increased the demand for cybersecurity job postings in India in the last three years. There has been a 98% increase in the cybersecurity job postings according to a popular job search platform. The searches for security specialists and IT analysts have also gone up by 73% during the same three years.
And cybersecurity experts, with increasing demand, are experiencing an average growth in salary, which has gone up to 8.8 lakh in India.
According to Indeed, the average salary for security specialists, IT Security Specialist and Information Security Analyst are about ?889,265,?807,170, ?459,304.
According to LinkedIn Emerging Jobs 2020 report, cybersecurity specialist is one of the most sought after jobs in India and maybe because there has been a global decline in cybersecurity professionals.
Another report says cybersecurity jobs are expect3ed to reach around 1.8 million by 2022 as per Center for Cyber Safety and Education. Among these Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad are the cities that have experienced the most job opportunities for areas like information security, network security, penetration testing and more.
